ABOUT ABOUT

Philly Improv Theater’s We The People Improv Festival is the main improv festival for the City of Philadelphia. The fest is dedicated to showcasing the diversity of improv talent from across the nation and around the globe, while also highlighting the diversity and talent of our beautiful city to our guest artists and all those in attendance. Our producing team and Philly’s improv scene are excited to come together under one roof for a weekend celebrating excellence in improvisational comedy, and the camaraderie of the worldwide improv community. We The People has your back and we can’t wait to laugh with you!

GYM CRUSH (NEW YORK, NY)

You see us on the treadmill, doing squats, lifting stuff – we’re your Gym Crush, and you can’t take your eyes off of us. Let’s get sweaty, have some fun, and work it out. Gym Crush is made up of seasoned improvisers who have all trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade in NYC, including a few house performers at UCB. We have competed in UCB’s Cage Match on the main stage and several festivals, including Steelstacks and Newark Improv Fest. We frequently host and perform in shows in venues all over NYC. Gym Crush is a fast-paced, fun-loving team and we perform a loose version of the Slacker form.

THE KRISTEN AND AMIE/AMIE AND KRISTEN SHOW (PHILADELPHIA, PA/NEW YORK, NY)

Best friends, total babes, and improvisers Amie Roe and Kristen Schier perform an organic and fluid improv comedy show that’s been featured in theater festivals throughout the United States and Canada (eh!). These West Philadelphia natives deliver improvised comedy that is part best girlfriend, part social commentary, and mostly id.
