ABOUT ABOUT

Philly Improv Theater’s We The People Improv Festival is the main improv festival for the City of Philadelphia. The fest is dedicated to showcasing the diversity of improv talent from across the nation and around the globe, while also highlighting the diversity and talent of our beautiful city to our guest artists and all those in attendance. Our producing team and Philly’s improv scene are excited to come together under one roof for a weekend celebrating excellence in improvisational comedy, and the camaraderie of the worldwide improv community. We The People has your back and we can’t wait to laugh with you!

LISTEN, STUPID (DETROIT, MI)

Listen, Stupid hails from the mean streets of Detroit. Well, actually the nicely paved streets of the suburbs, but they still bring the city’s hustle and honesty to every show. Nuverre Naami and Tom Novik have been performing together since 2013 and are often asked by audiences how long they’ve been best friends. It’s sweet and a little awkward, but speaks to their strong connection on stage. They’ve performed in shows, events, and festivals across the US and Canada. This duo loves to play all kinds of characters while patiently exploring and showcasing everyday relationships and encounters.

HOOCH (PHILADELPHIA, PA)

WARNING: HOOCH may cause feelings of euphoria, hysteria, and invincibility. Persons who experience HOOCH may feel an intensely strong and powerful feminine energy grow from their abdomen. If symptoms persist longer than 24 hours, you may require frequent treatments of HOOCH to survive. Always HOOCH irresponsibly.

Hooch is an all-women house team at the Philly Improv Theater consisting of:
Christine Walden
